Bath law firm Mowbray Woodwards has made a new appointment to its team as the business continues to expand, most notably due to the increasing demand in its private client practice.
Elizabeth Metcalfe joins the Bath law firm from Goughs Solicitors in Chippenham where she was a solicitor specialising in all aspects of private client work, including probate and estate administration.
The personal tax, trusts and probate team was recognised last year by the independent research guide, the Legal 500, for being “professional, friendly and trustworthy” and is going from strength to strength as demand increases for its specialist, in-depth understanding and advice.
Speaking about her appointment, Elizabeth said: “As a relatively newly qualified solicitor I’m delighted to be joining such an established, successful firm as Mowbray Woodwards which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
“The private client team headed up by David Whitworth is renowned for its experience and expertise helping clients and their families with their wills, probate, estate administration and advising on issues such as lasting power of attorney for elderly and vulnerable clients.
“I thoroughly enjoy private client practice and relish the challenge of dealing with Trust and probate law which can at times be quite complex. One of the best things about my work is meeting lots of different clients all with very different circumstances and helping them to make the right decisions to get their affairs in order.”
David Whitworth added: “A big welcome to Elizabeth whose knowledge and understanding of private client law and her ambition, enthusiasm and professionalism will be a huge asset to our growing team.”
Mowbray Woodwards is an independent firm of solicitors that has been assisting clients with their legal affairs in the Bath and surrounding area for 70 years.
