University of Bath-based David McNulty and Jamie Main have been nominated by British Swimming to be part of the Team GB coaching team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
It will be a sixth Olympic Games for McNulty and his fourth as Lead Coach of the British Swimming Performance Centre Bath, with his charges having won 14 medals between them – seven of them gold – at London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
Joining the University of Bath Hall of Fame for Sport inductee in the eight-strong Team GB Olympic coaching contingent for a first time is Main, who has worked alongside McNulty as National Coach for Olympic Swimming at the Bath Performance Centre since 2022.
British Swimming Head Coach Bill Furniss, who is set for that role for a fourth time with Team GB in Paris, said: “I am very pleased to congratulate these eight outstanding coaches on being nominated to the BOA to work with our Olympic team in Paris.
“Each one of them has repeatedly proved they can deliver their best in the arena and help our athletes do the same, and they all came through a thorough and competitive selection process to earn this opportunity.”
