Bath Academy are thrilled to see the results their students have achieved in a challenging and disrupted year.
Bath Academy 2020 results:
- The most common grade was A*/A
- The percentage of A*- B grades this summer was almost 70%, 14% higher than the national average
- 87% of all A Level students achieved grades A*- C
Most of their students are over the moon with their results so far, as well as their parents. Hannah, a one year A Level student who gained a place studying Criminology at University of Bath says,” I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Bath Academy and I wouldn’t have my place at Bath Uni and 2 A grades without it! I am so impressed with all the teachers commitment to their students and even to their subjects! I cannot thank you all enough.”
Jo, parent to A-Level student Gale who is off to study English and Creative Writing at University of Gloucestershire said, “She got 3 grade As for her A levels! We are all super pleased. Thank you for all your help while she has been at Bath Academy. Being part of the academy has done her the world of good for her next step in going to University.”
Tim Naylor, Principal of Bath Academy, is also extremely pleased with this year’s results, despite the disruption to education: “Our students faced innumerable challenges since the lockdown in March, yet they have overcome them to produce impressive results. We are grateful for their hard work, for their parents’ support during this time, and for our educational leaders’ expertise and dedicated pastoral care to keep the students motivated as we moved temporarily to online lessons.

“Few of our students’ grades were adjusted and our robust approach to continuity of teaching and assessment over the lockdown period meant we were in a strong position. With 87% of our students progressing to their first-choice university and 68% of our students gaining places at Russell Group universities, we couldn’t be more proud of their achievements.
“With varied university places achieved – such as Medicine at Sheffield, Veterinary Medicine at Nottingham, History of Art Edinburgh, Pharmacy at Cardiff and Economics at Nottingham – our students are well on their way to promising careers in the future. We wish them every success and continue to offer support to all who are unsure of the next steps to take with the help of our expert guidance and flexible options. We look forward to receiving our GCSE students’ results this Thursday.”
