Because of the lockdown, the Newbridge Arts Trail couldn’t take place this month as planned. While it’s not possible to visit artists in their homes and studios, you can still enjoy their work online at www.newbridgeartstrail.com

To provide an interesting stay-at-home experience, the website has been extended to create a virtual trail, with more information about the artists and more images of their work. Artlovers can explore the virtual trail from the comfort of their own homes, in their own time, whatever the weather, throughout the summer months.

About 40 artists and makers are showcasing their work. Several have joined this year, so there’s plenty of new work to be seen, even by regular visitors. There’s a huge range of art, from painting, printmaking and photography to textiles, ceramics, sculpture and digital art. And anyone who is interested in knowing more can contact artists or see more of their work by following links on the artists’ pages.

There’s also a ‘Newbridge in Lockdown’ area on the website, with photos giving a flavour of how the streets look and what people are doing as they stay at home.

A new date for the trail will be published as soon as known. In the meantime, take the opportunity to visit www.newbridgeartstrail.com for a preview of the exciting and original art being created in this area of Bath.
