After 30 successful years at Pavilion, the Bath Decorative Antiques Fair, 8–10 March 2019, will celebrate style diversity for the 30th birthday edition.
There will be an exciting mix of a handful of dealers who were there at the very first event in 1989 who will join a dazzling group of young dealers some of whom were not even born in 1989.
Bridging those generations will be a wealth of talent from across the UK and Europe dealing in a wide range of enticing and quirky decorative, vintage, antique and mid-century furniture and objects for the home and garden from the 18th century to 20th century. Expect to see interesting pieces from the UK and around the globe including Sweden and the Nordic countries, France, Italy and Asia – from humble early English pottery and samplers through to stylish 20th century falcon leather chairs, enormous French chateau dressers, Persian carpets, contemporary art and beautiful Windsor chairs and upholstery. Pricing starts at £10 to £10,000 with plenty in between.
Bath Decorative Antiques Fair is a regional event which enjoys an international audience, and a unique atmosphere, almost clublike, amongst its many loyal exhibitors and visitors. The fair was founded in 1989 by local antiques dealer Robin Coleman, and was acquired in 2013 by Sue & Peter Ede of Cooper Events. Sue and Peter recognised that the fair had an important legacy in the city and it has continued to thrive during their six years of stewardship.
Sue Ede: “We are honoured to own this important event which is so cherished by all who sail in her. We are very much looking forward to celebrating the 30th edition with exhibitors from 1989 to the present day.”
